This special out of school time event took place on President’s Day as part of the Pioneers to the Present: Jews of Richmond and Contra Costa County exhibit series.
The Richmond Museum Association Dinner on February 3, 2017 at the Richmond Country Club was a huge success!? This fundraiser benefited the renovation of the permanent exhibition Revealing Hidden History.?? Attendees enjoyed a silent auction, dinner, dancing and remarks by Dr. Kent Lightfoot from the University of California Berkeley.
The Galileo Club hosted a dinner to benefit the Richmond Museum Association on January 29 and a good time was had by all the guests! Thank you to everyone who joined us on January 29, 2016 to Celebrate 1905 & the Incorporation of Richmond!

On Saturday January 31, 2015, the crew of the SS Red Oak Victory (ROV) hosted the 1st ever crab feed aboard the ship in the special events room also known as cargo hold #4. The crew was so happy that everyone reported to be stuffed after a lovely evening of warm crab with butter sauce, Caesar salad, and artisan bread! The weather that day was unseasonably warm to the delight of the guests. Tickets were sold out over a week before the event, so we had a full house of 150 people!
The ROV crew was delighted to be joined by the Sea Scouts of the SS Northland??who helped the crew serve, bus tables, and clean up!! Thank you Sea Scouts! The ROV crew was also joined by Chef Jerry Clopp and the students of the Hercules High School Culinary Academy, who assisted Victor Shepard in preparing the food. Thank you students!
