Communities for a Better Environment Presents: Black History, Resilience, and Legacy in Richmond Join us for a free, public, community-sourced exhibit exploring the history and legacy of radical Black activism in Richmond and North Richmond! Where? Richmond Museum of History & Culture at 400 Nevin Ave, Richmond, Ca When? The exhibit is on display for the entire month of February! Swing by the Museum any Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday this February from 1-4pm. Rediscover the legacy of radical Black activism in Richmond!

For the entire month of February, follow the beginning of Richmond’s black community and their roots in organizing and the growth of the Black Panther Party!

Did you know that North Richmond was one of the first communities where the Black Panther Party organized, and significantly shaped the growth of the Party? We at the Richmond Museum of History & Culture are hosting Communities for a Better Environment (CBE) Richmond for a free gallery exhibit on the rich history of radical Black activism in Richmond and the legacy of this organizing that is still felt today.

The Black History Exhibit will be up for the entire month of February in honor of Black History Month. Our closing reception will be on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025.

Gallery available for viewing from Thursday – Sunday, 1 – 4 PM
February 1st – February 28th, 2025
